Reading Time: 2 minutesI'm in the bathroom, door locked, staring at the mirror, stripped down to the heart-covered boxers my wife, Kathy, gave me for Valentine's Day. As I hold the 0.5 cc syringe, I'm humming Neil Young's "The Needle and the Damage Done"a bit of black humor to pump up enough courage to jab the hypodermic into my abdomen. My syringe is tipped with a hollow 31-gauge needle that's not significantly bigger than a mosquito's proboscis, so it's not the stick, exactly, that I fear. (Well, maybe a little.) What scares me is the syringe's contents: human chorionic gonadotropin, or hCG. It's … Read more »

Posted by Dr. Michael White, Updated on November 13th, 2020

He said that the repair will not improve testosterone levels. He also prescribed Testim Gel. He said to apply it for 30 days, repair the varecocele, and come back. I asked him about … Read more »

Posted by Dr. Michael White, Updated on November 13th, 2020

Reading Time: 2 minutesIn men 45 and older, most cases of hypogonadism or Low-T often go overlooked due to the fact that the symptoms may be more general in nature and slower in onset. Many men simply attribute their symptoms to aging and often dismiss them because they don't think that there is anything that they can do about them. This is largely because the symptoms of hypogonadism are nearly identical to those experienced by men going through andropause (the male menopause): low libido, fatigue, depression, memory loss, difficulty concentrating and irritability. The difference between andropause and hypogonadism is simple. Andropause is a … Read more »
